Why Brendan Deiz?

I am a professional grant writer, educator and musician, with years of experience in each of those fields. I hold a Master's in Teaching and taught professionally for over a decade, so the courses I design and lead are brought to you by not only a professional grant writer, but also an experienced, credentialed educator. I have worked as a full time grant writer, as well as freelancer, for numerous national and Oregon-based nonprofits. I have helped raise millions of dollars for causes including children's education and literacy, immigrant rights, and infrastructure projects for Native American Tribes. I have also served as a reviewer on multiple grant panels, reading and grading hundreds of applications, helping decide which projects would receive funding, gaining a better understanding of just what funders are looking for. A lifelong musician, I have won grants for my own music projects and want to help other artists and musicians (as well as nonprofits) find funding for their endeavors.
